HOW DOES LASER TECHNOLOGY WORK?

During permanent hair removal, the laser beam can produce a targeted effect on a small area without damaging the surrounding tissue. The laser heats up the melanin found in the hair follicles, destroying them and preventing further hair growth.

The effect of laser hair removal is long-term: the hair permanently thins out, and where a hair has fallen out, no new hair grows in its place.

WHO IS IT RECOMMENDED FOR?

For anyone who wants to get rid of hair they find bothersome. Laser hair removal works effectively for both women and men. For those who want to get rid of the discomfort of ingrown hairs and folliculitis.

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

It is very important to avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for 7 days before the treatment. Most importantly, waxing, epilating or plucking is not allowed for 4 weeks before the treatment, since the hairs must not be pulled out.

The day before the treatment, shave the area to be treated completely smooth!

Avoid using creams and perfumes that day!

If possible, avoid taking painkillers, as some contain ingredients that cause photosensitivity!

AFTER THE TREATMENT

You must not wax, epilate or pluck hair during or after the treatment. Only shaving is allowed during the treatment period.

After the treatment, you'll notice stubble-like hair growth for 10-14 days, after which the dead hairs fall out.

It's a good idea to avoid the sauna and sports on the day of the hair removal treatment and for the following 1-2 days, since sweat can irritate the skin.

Using a sunscreen with as high an SPF as possible on the treated area is mandatory for at least 1 week. Tanning beds should be avoided for 1 week before and after the treatment.

NUMBER OF TREATMENTS:

Hair follicles have three growth phases: anagen, telogen and catagen. Permanent hair removal can only affect the follicles that are currently active (anagen phase), so multiple treatments are needed until all follicles stop growing.

The number of treatments needed depends on the color of the hair and skin, and the patient's sex. Usually 8-10 treatments are needed, performed every 4-6 weeks depending on the treated area. Generally, a combination of thick, dark hair and light skin requires the fewest treatments.

To maintain the results, an annual touch-up treatment is recommended for everyone.
